Default 35 Grille

Xmas came early, got a new grille for the cabriolet.
After trying to fix up my original bashed brittle and twisted original piece to no avail, trying to make an early (argentinan?) repro fit, not even close, getting nothing back for my money from someone in California for a very good original, I sold a kidney and my first born child and stumped up for one of the Australian repros.
It arrived on Sunday, in bare metal and it is a lovely piece of work, I am really happy with it, out the box it fits well, I have to lay radiator back now for hood to fit, never having had a good fitting grille it was not possible to set the rad to firewall distance until now.
Only weird thing is the repro hood emblem is a very poor fit, different contour, I am hoping to borrow an original to work out what to do, pretty sure it is the emblem that is at fault. Will let you know, in the mean time it is good to have restored a smile to the car (and me).
