I'm still in my 30's, but one thing I've leaned about marriage is negotiation. I got to build the garage, she gets the basement finished. I can live with that. I just wish I'd insulated and finished the inside of the garage first! I was so tired from building my detached by myself (except help hanging trusses) that I was ready for a break. Should have just bit the bullet and insulated...
