If the engine is out just loosen all the main caps, pry up on the crankshaft a bit & it should just pull right out. Not sure if they make one for that engine but I would replace it with a two piece neoprene seal. If they don't make one you have to remove the crankshaft to replace the upper rope seal anyway.
