I'm looking for help with the single barrel Holly on my 57 Wagon. Yep, its a 223 six. The car came with two carbs, one on the car and a spare that I now believe may be the original carb. The one on the car has a very small venturi and no power valve. The main jet is a 40. Performance and drivability is pretty poor with this carb. The other carb has a much larger venturi, a power valve and a 66 main jet. It also has the glass fuel bowl while the smaller carb does not. I want to rebuild one of these carbs or if neither is right get another to rebuild. Can anyone help me figure out the right carb and which jet to use? Thanks.
