The internal parts for the '36 pickup drop are different from the internal parts of the '35- (early '36); where the detent screw is closer to the column, and the "off position" is up (like the passenger cars). The '36 pickup has the detent screw further to the right. The '37 pickup is like the '36 pickup with "on position" up, like the '37 passenger cars (except the detent screw for the '37 passenger car drop is on the bottom of drop, and therefore does not share the same internal parts). Many subtle differences in the drops between '35 and '37. Unless building for "show", there are probably good options for swapping the whole column drop assembly between years and bodies/models and still function properly. Hope this hasn't muddied up the thread.
