Default Re: Their still out there

Ya, they’re still out there but most belong to hoarder.
They are waiting for the value to go up to some unreasonable amount. In the mean time some are rusting away.
I started restoration on a ‘39 panel truck.
The owner found a ‘38 to use for parts that we decided to restore also.
Once we got into them we had to quit because they both turned out to be junk.
When you have a quarter inch endplay in the cluster gear because the case is worn and the .060” overbored engines are so full of rust you can’t put a quart of coolant in them with the heads on or off and the rear axles need sleeves and the carbs are gone and everything stinks from rats it’s time cut the losses and do something else.
A lot of folks think their junker is worth whatever a show car of the same vintage sold for at the last classic car auction.
