To give you an idea of how well the oil splash-mist is in the flathead. For well over 20 years now the roller lifters moving the push rods for the ARDUN rockers in my 59A block have shown no wear at all. That's running the engine around town and thousands of highway miles. Like big job wrote that's how the valve train has worked in engine's for 100 years and counting.
