It was originally a line in the movie "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre", which was later parodied in "Blazing Saddles".
If you've never seen The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Humphrey Bogart and others) I strongly recommend you take some time to watch it, now that we are all locked in for a spell.
