I assume he called all old cars Model Ts, not realizing that Model Ts were specific to Ford.

I think I met that fellow once. He said his uncle used to have cars like my model A, but his were Whippet Overland. When they were worn out he would cut the back of the bodies off and make Model T Fords out of them for use on the farm.
