One thing that has not been mentioned so far, is that it might be a heating issue. This could affect the coil as well as the valves. I had the later issue many years ago on a '29 with B carb, and nothing helped until I heavily dosed it with STP thru the carb and then threw the rest of the can into the oil. Multiple valves had been sticking at operating temp, but were free and fine at cold temps. Go figure !!!
