Confirming Brian T's comment.
I have seen the the green unclad manifold gaskets fail after a short amount of time.

I am also skeptical about how well any silicone would hold up with the extreme temperatures at the exhaust port.

I have had good luck with both the steel clad and copper clad gaskets. The copper clad are my preference.
