A fellow near here (long deceased) had been stationed at Pearl Harbor in the late 40's and was somehow in charge (or nearly so) of requisitions.
I saw first hand in the late 70's and early 80's the crates full of NEW motorcycles he had shipped to himself back here in Wisconsin.
