Default Re: Help with Big Truck hubs and brakes

To start...take out the small bolts and their centering cones and hardware from ends of axles.
To start axles moving, 2 of the holes in axle end are threaded and running a bolt into each will force axle to start moving on out.
With axle out, a big nut is exposed--you should but probably don't have a big socket worked with the original tire iron in your OEM tool kit found under the front seat. Anyway, the nut captures the bearings just like the nut on front spindles does. Remove it and a hatfull of washers and bearings and hub should be ready to come off. Except for that brake problem.
