Thank you for the heads up. I know that adjusts the hood height position. Right now I need to use the emergency release with one hand and with the other hand lift up on the hood to release the safety latch. The hood just isn't popping up to the safety latch position when pulling the release cable inside the car.

Possibly the spring is defective and needs to be replaced.
