Folks,
After several hours thinking about the seat frames I believe I will over design as usual and lay a 3/16 sheet of luan over the top and then make a 3/16 thick insert inside the frame. This should make a very sturdy frame for the rest of the trucks life. Have to prototype it tomorrow.
It will make the seat just a tad higher but I can move the seat back up if I need to.
Love it when a plan comes together. This saves rabbiting the inside of the frame and will be way stronger.
When the previous owner and his wife visited today they brought a special item.
It is another piece of the story of this truck! A crate that has markings that tell us this engine in the truck is probably not the original one.
We think the rebuilt MOD B engine came in this box. The ship to location is about 40 miles south of me.
Regards,
Chris
