I have used the AA-7085-B bearing retainer, it is about 1/8" thicker than the
A-7085-E retainer. You also need the special U-joint A-7090-C.

I have these same parts and the entire unit is still 1" longer than the
original. Did you force the rear end and drive shaft to the rear to get the set up in?
