Default Re: AA transmission in an A

I actually have a Model-A 82B chassis that came from the Texas panhandle that has a AA transmission installed that supposedly was ordered new that way. We discussed this topic probably 10 or more years ago here, and if I recall correctly someone said the transmission output shaft and the rear coupler were different. In the next few days I will be going down to where the chassis is if you would like me to take some pictures, I will. Maybe we can tell by the pix what is different.

Dave, the daughter of the original owner of the pick-up that we bought said her Dad used the truck to feed livestock out of well into the 60's. She said he would get out and walk beside the truck. I am guessing that would have been perfect for the AA transmission.
