Nice truck. It will be fun going through that one. If you're using cable ties, if you don't have a flush cutter then a pair of garden secateurs can make a nice flush cut. At least mine can.

May I ask how did you expect the brakes to perform?

Was hoping the brakes would be about like my first car, a 1963 Skylark convertible. And they are close to the same. At least as I remember 40+ years ago.
