Now.....coincidence or small world, whichever. My grandfather was in the 1st Illinois in the Great War also. He was Quartermaster of his company but I don't know what company. I could find out though.

There's a nice book about Black Jack and the Black Hawk division,..got it
off ebay. Took me awhile to find my Grandfathers name, there's a ton of
names in it.
