I like driving my T around the holidays. I took it out the other day and the engine would not shut off when I turned the key off. (Distributor & no mag) l killed the engine with clutch and looked around for the problem with no luck. I turned the key on and the amp. gauge did not move. I touched the wires behind the ign. switch and everything came to life and I started it and ran around town for an hour or so with no problem but on the way home ,at a stop sign, it died and would not restart. I touched the same wires and came back to life again. Back home I took the switch apart and cleaned it but I didn’t see anything obvious. The contacts are clean and the wire connections are tight. I guess I’ll be doing some diagnostics this week and, I hope, lots of driving.
