The generator was missing when I got the engine. I checked the part number for an original generator for the big trucks. It is different than say an 8ba flathead. However I had an 8ba generator here and tried it. It fit fine and I could have used it. I have kept the old generator stand and can reinstall it if I choose to. The alternator was one I had and the alternator bracket fits an 8 ba flathead.
