Default Re: Are these 32 B ?

I've encountered one (and only one, so far) type of ersatz Model B pump. It is not that one, it has only an internal filter and no removable cover on the rocker housing, but is fairly common. After cruising Hershey looking for matches I concluded that it was very likely from a six-cylinder flathead Dodge or Plymouth. It had 1/8 pipe inlet and outlet, each fitted with a brass adapter to take the Ford line nuts. I assume the rocker was replaced with a Ford one, but had nothing along to compare so perhaps the Mopar one was compatible.
The conversion is always the same and the sellers know that it is for a B, though no one labels it as a conversion...so I think it was a commercial offering marketed and cataloged as a B replacement. There's no way of telling whether the sellers actually know that these are not authentic, but they clearly know that B pumps have gotten pricey!
