The Bakersfield Swap Meet had just been
Killed by the HCCA - instead of passing
the torch to others committed to continuing
the tradition - they killed it.
That - came from one of the original organizers
who was there when I was doing the interview.
He was in the bed of his pick up truck
when he told me that they made
the decision to kill it ….
