Then there is the old question about if a 1940 or 41 pick up could have come from the tractors with steering column shift.
Some have reported to have seen them.
It is my opinion that the first Ford pickup with column shift was the 1951 F1 with light duty transmission. I have one.
The heavy duty 3 speed was still floor shift.
