The '39 Ford convertible coupe is one of the most beautiful production cars ever made. I once owned one of those, same color as this one. Mine was in nowhere near the wonderful condition of this one though.
After owning mine for just a couple of years, I sold it. The convertible top, on these, is just one PITA to operate and being a manual system made it worse. Imagine, unfolding and then folding an oversized Union Oil road map, made of military grade canvas, steel and hard wood that must weigh 400 or 500 hundred pounds. A tough one-person job.
Give me the power topped mechanism in my '47 Ford. A beautiful, one finger, operation.
