If you have a chance to pickup a infrared gun for reading heat that might be good. Gauges can be interesting. Maybe when it's showing high temperature pull off the road and check the block to make sure the temperature on the gauge is the actual temperature. Good to know what condition your condition is in. Or don't trust the gauges.
