If it's a standard shift car, you need a 55 or 56 Z bar - the cross piece that connects the frame mount to the engine mount.


In an automatic car, you may find that the neutral safety switch is in the way. I have been told there is a way to remedy this by moving it or replacing it with another year switch, but don't know the details.


Be sure to get a left manifold from a sedan as the tbird manifold is different.
