Default Side molding for 1950 Ford 2 door sedan

When I got my 50 Ford there was no side molding on the car, only the holes. About 50 years ago I had a 50 Ford that I filled the holes and painted to car and was good to go. This time I was wondering if I should try to find the trim and put it on the car or go ahead and fill the holes again. i have looked for the trim and found some at Shoebox central but it doesn't include the fender molding, or clips. Does anyone have any thoughts about which way I should go.
I know its in the eye of the beholder but before I jump in and do anything I thought I would ask the experts. Also is it better with or without the trim when it comes time to sell the car, or again is its personal preference? Thank you
