Typically this is due to the accel pump not putting out enough 'squirter' fuel or not enough at the right time. It is usually related to the mixture going LEAN until the main fuel delivery dump-tubes (main circuits) can catch up.

You might check your accel pump and see if it is squirting correctly (do it with the engine not running first!).

It can also be timing . . .
