How do you know it needs a rebore ?

Reread post #10,,,,,,,there are a lot of “Ifs “,,,,,in every line there .
And besides,,,,,a little smoke is not necessarily a worn out engine,,,,maybe,,,maybe not .
Before I would give up and spend a fortune,,,just do some checking .
Many,,,,many ,,,engines have been torn down ,,,,pistons cleaned thoroughly,,,,rerung,,,,,bearings replaced and are running perfectly today .
These flatheads will run when other engines won’t .

You say it is a great running engine,,,,,just smokes a little,,,and has low compression from your test .
I really don’t think a complete rebuild is required,,,,,rings,,bearings ,,,and valve job .
You might be good to go .
