Actually Chandler - Groves was a '38 model. However, there is little doubt some of them found their way on to 1939 Fords (assembly line).
Holley produced carburetors for 1939 Fords and are marked with an "H" on the side of the accelerator pump housing. Ford produced their own carburetors as well. Those have an "F" on the side of the accelerator pump housing.
As to whether or not your 91-99 is worth saving... depends on condition of course. If there are good parts remaining, then yes, it's worth saving.
