That's when I decided to install a warning buzzer. As soon as the ignition switch was turned on, if the door was unlatched the buzzer would sound. ( it has worked more than once )
I used a push button, momentary, normally closed switch.
This allows grounding one side of the switch to the body with the need to fish only one wire to one side of the buzzer.
There should be a suitable spot somewhere on the door post to locate one.
I like it. I'd probably try to disguise the button with some black paint so it wouldn't be quite so obvious. Even as it is, it's a lot less obvious than my fender and trim caved in.
