Based on your picture, that appears to be a left side '36 Ford water pump. If it's an original '36 pump, it will have a 68-xxxx part number cast into one side. If someone is doing a high point restoration on their 36 Ford, it might be important to them to get that pump as a rebuildable core.
If/when I'm judging cars at an Early Ford V-8 Club Meet, for say a Dearborn Award, I look for the original part number on water pumps. If there is no part number, points are deducted. I've personally sold many original '32 to '53 water pumps as rebuildable cores.....and personally, I'd give original ford parts away before I would consider trashing them.
