I don't know what it costs to have a wheel widened but you can have new ones made in a variety of widths and diameters. They are not cheap but they are brand new and sealed for use with tubeless tires. I've had two sets made by the "wheel smith" out of california. I have a dozen real nice original '35's, two of which will be used for the spares on my DD. I know that stock '35's are dirt cheap compared to brand new ones but if you want wider than stock, going new and running tubeless is an option.
