I recently bought a Model A period "Ford Times", a British Ford magazine. Featured within was a Model T trike, design opposite the above...this one had rear axle cut down to nothing driving a centered or close to centered single rear wheel, and a special body to suit. The motive: In England, a three wheeled car was legally a motorcycle, and got much better tax level. Normal Ford were bad news on English taxes because they had relatively large bores, which counted heavily in the tax computation.
