ANY Ford rear end with a 3.78 (or ANY ratio) gear set from '35 THRU 1940 complete with torque tube and drive shaft will bolt-in to your '36 chassis. The rears will all be equal in width, and the torque tubes/drive shafts are all the same dimensionally. Shouldn't be TOO difficult to find a '40 rear with a 3.78 floating-around out there. DD
