I could see it either way - I prefer darker colors but I do love the light tan/dark brown combination model A's had.

To me I would pick something different than the rest of the traffic - makes you stand out more for safety sake and makes the car that much more eye catching. I wouldn't stray too far from the standard model A colors or period colors as if you ever decide to sell it you've lost a chunk of the market already if its not "normal"
