Volume and pressure are related. Higher volume through a fixed orifice will result in higher pressure. Pressure is only the resut of resistance to oil flow. The fixed displacement oil pumps in our engines only provide flow, given its displacement per each turn of the pump. What will vary the pressure is the viscosity rating of the oil, the oil temperature, relief valve pressure settings, a leaking relief valve and/or worn engine components.
