Same in NW Illinois. And, I'm like Tom W. No way are any of the antique cars going out on an Illinois roadway after the first snow hits. Roads stay salt dust all winter. Looks like you are driving down a gravel road. That will creep into all and any cracks or crevices. And like Tom does, I wait until there are at least two HARD rains in the spring before I venture out. You still see white salt in the cracks in the pavement after only one light rain.

Depends upon the weather but usually the old car season ends around the middle of November maybe Thanksgiving, until the middle of April around here............ I cringe when I see my neighbor get his really nice '62 SS Impala out when the roads are still white with salt.
