Dont have a answer, but i have a 57 Corvette factory dual point centrifugal advance only distributor 270hp dual quad ( thats a mouthful) that is in a 8BA flathead. Never ran it but wondered if it had any benefit.

It takes the early small cap and fits nice.

I also got one of the later delco distributors for a 8Ba that Charlie NY built.
