Poking around a little more through the lower pump hole, the crack ends real close to the wall of the exhaust port, so close that a drilled hole at the end of the crack might hit the outside of the port wall. That makes me wonder how hot an epoxy repair would get right there. JB weld isn't great for high heat. Devcon plastic steel is rated for 250°F. Belzona 1111 is rated for 396°F. Just feeling it with my fingers I estimate it at about 1/8" thick, no more than 3/16".
