Gary, that makes perfect sense, as I've seen most accessory fog lights mounted right to the front pan. I have seen questions on this and other sites as to where the light's should be mounted on the pan and these brackets answer the question. The '41 thru '48 book offered by the V-8 Club should include these in the book.
