For sale is an overhauled 1949-early 51 Mercury three speed overdrive transmission. I am a retired automotive instructor and I recently overhauled this trans.

Please email me at [email protected] and I will send you photos of the overhaul, gears, new parts, etc. All gears are excellent used USA made or Ford original gears. Synchro. rings are NOS Ford. Installed new American made bearings, throw out bearing, all seals, gaskets, good planetary in OD, new clutch shaft bushings. Trans comes with good 6 volt solenoid.

I have one of these in my 48 ford F-1 and other than making a new cross member, it was an easy installation.This is the trans. with the large front bell housing. After Feb 1951 production, Mercury went to the Ford car style overdrive. Will ship by UPS. USA cost varies from $160 to $200 plus depending upon location. Local pick-up welcome and i will deliver within a hundred miles or so. I'm asking $1150. Thanks for looking.
