Your probably OK with enamel if you have the right amount of hardener in it. Just let it dry and gas out naturally. I would give it a couple of weeks before cutting and buffing.

I prefer painting in a controlled environment due to humidity and seldom lay color down when it is that cold. Paints expensive...I suspect you know that.
