Thanks everyone for your tips. I have sprayed penetrating oil and will leave it overnight. Since I don't have access to a torch to heat it up, I am afraid of breaking the piece when spreading it with a screwdriver/chisel/pry bar.

Not sure whether you are able to see the photo that I had added to my original post. Is the emergency brake lever supposed to be flush with the end of the toggle lever? The left side has it inset, the right side is flush with the end of the toggle lever. Please see attached photos.

Next task would be to remove the service brake camshaft lever. Any instructions on doing that?
