Speaking of museums, don't forget the Navy's Submarine Museum in Groton, Connecticut, it is not far off I 95. You can tour the USS Nautilus SSN571 the world's first nuclear powered submarine. The exhibits are very interesting and cover subs from the beginning to present day. Did you know there was a submarine during the revolutionary war? Also admission and parking are free!
