The 1940 column might be a closer fit. In 41 the body started to change more toward the later 42 thru 48 types and they might be longer than the 1940 type. The later types would likely need to be shortened to fit the early 30s type bodies but it could be done. The steering lock and key switch complicate things a bit. Are you planning on using the 47 steering box as well or just the column jacket?

Heck I went back and re-read to answer the question. The F-1 Box is a common choice but may have to be shortened & modified to work with the 47 mast jacket & shift mechanism.
