Back in my youth I dreamed up a band to go around the distributor cam and took my drawing to a tool maker all hot to get a patent on this "invention" of mine. He looked at it carefully, then pulled out a catalog of tools and asked me how many I wished to order. Gone were my thoughts of having invented the new distributor setting tool that the world needed so badly.
