If you are wanting to ship a rear fender of that vintage, check out the boxes at your local bicycle shop. Bike boxes are just the right size for shipping rear fenders. I got two '36 fenders shipped from California to Colorado and suggested to the seller to check it out. They worked great and shipping was only $40!
