Gary above has great advice. Advertise like you are here for assistance en-route. You will likely have many offers as Gary said.

This method of has been successful for many on an adventure, in the old days. It has worked well whether flying planes, driving cars, or boating along a river or ocean shore. You just have to get people to help you get the word out.

A few years ago I saw, in Alaska, a model A that some guys drove from New York to Alaska. They had just made it to Toke Alaska. They had a big tool box along with 2 spare tires and fuel cans with them.
